ShyamVNL Showcases Advanced Prison Communication Technologies During Visit to Lapas Pematangsiantar
Pematangsiantar, North Sumatra:
In a continued effort to support secure communication management within Indonesia’s correctional facilities, ShyamVNL, a leading provider of prison communication and wireless control technologies, conducted a focused technical outreach visit to Lapas Kelas IIA Pematangsiantar this week.
Representing the company, Mr. Shiyas Pallipattuputhenpura Ummer met with Kalapas Pematangsiantar, Bapak Davy Bartian, to present ShyamVNL’s state-of-the-art solutions — the Prison Communication Guard (PCG) and the Jail Wireless Communication (JWC) system.
During the engagement, Mr. Shiyas briefed the leadership team on how these systems can effectively block illegal mobile communications, control unauthorized network access, and strengthen overall prison security. He emphasized that ShyamVNL’s technology is already deployed in multiple international corrections environments and is designed to support Indonesia’s evolving digital security standards.
Kalapas Davy Bartian welcomed the initiative and discussed ongoing challenges related to communication misuse inside the facility. He acknowledged the need for effective, reliable, and ministry-compliant solutions to enhance security and prevent misuse of mobile devices by inmates.
The visit is part of ShyamVNL’s North Sumatra engagement program, covering more than ten prisons and detention centers. By gathering technical requirements and demonstrating operational capabilities, the company aims to support future procurement considerations by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, provided that a coordinated demand from multiple facilities is established.
ShyamVNL’s ongoing outreach is expected to play a key role in future digital transformation efforts within Indonesia’s correctional infrastructure.
