Indian Defence Technology Showcased in Indonesia: Shyam VNL Partners with Ministry of Defence Indonesia and PT. INTI







Jakarta, 22 September 2025 –

Mr. Shiyas Pallipattuputhenpura Ummer, a distinguished representative of several Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) of India, successfully conducted a high-level event introducing advanced solutions from Shyam VNL. The program was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence of Indonesia and PT. INTI, marking a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation in defence technology and secure communications.

The event, themed “Mobile Intelligence Solutions and Secure Mobile Broadband Communication Systems”, highlighted India’s growing expertise in cyber and defence technologies. Shyam VNL demonstrated cutting-edge mobile broadband systems, surveillance solutions, and secure communication platforms tailored for modern defence and homeland security requirements.

The program was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Deputy Chief of Mission of the Indian Embassy Mr. Bijay Selvaraj, Defence Attaché Captain Shiv Kumar, and from the Indonesian Ministry of Defence, Marsekal Pertama TNI Dedy Laksmono, Director of Defence Technology and Industry (Dir. Tekindhan). Also present was Admiral I Gusti Putu Aswan Candra from the Indonesian Navy, together with senior officials from PT. INTI and the wider defence industry.

From Shyam VNL, the event was attended by Retired Brigadier General Ajoy Mukharjee, Mr. Manoj Bhan, Mr. Sunil Joshy, and Mr. Giri Warrier, who shared insights on Shyam VNL’s technological innovations and their relevance for modern defence and homeland security needs.

In his address, Mr. Shiyas emphasized the importance of technology partnership between India and Indonesia, noting that innovations in secure communications and cyber-defence are crucial for national security in the digital era.

The participation of both Indian and Indonesian defence leadership, along with Shyam VNL’s senior experts, highlighted the strong potential for future technology transfer, local integration, and joint innovation. This collaboration underscores India’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s defence modernization efforts, while also strengthening strategic ties between the two nations.
