Strengthening Defence Partnerships: Mr. Shiyas Facilitates Key Introductions at Indo Defence 2025
At Indo Defence 2025 in Jakarta, Mr. Shiyas Pallipattuputhenpura Ummer, CEO (Asia) of Quang Ninh General Trading and Investment Company (QTI), played a pivotal role in deepening ties between Southeast Asian delegates and India’s leading Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs).
One of the major highlights of his engagement at the Indian Pavilion was the introduction of international government and private-sector delegates to key Indian defence manufacturers — most notably Adani Defence and Aerospace, a rising force in India’s private defence industry.
Recognizing the increasing demand for indigenous defence solutions across Asia, Mr. Shiyas worked closely with QTI Vice Director Mr. Keyur Sinha to create direct linkages between visiting Southeast Asian delegations and representatives of India's cutting-edge defence industry. These introductions provided an invaluable platform for exploring:
* Technology transfers
* Joint manufacturing opportunities
* Procurement discussions
* Training and simulation programs
Mr. Shiyas emphasized the importance of "Make in India, Made for Asia" as a core philosophy behind QTI’s mission. The meetings with Adani Defence, in particular, generated promising dialogue on collaboration in aerospace systems, tactical drones, surveillance technologies, and maritime security platforms.
Through his diplomatic approach and deep regional insights, Mr. Shiyas continues to position Indian defence capabilities as a reliable and strategic partner for Asian nations. These efforts not only promote Indian DPSUs and private defence firms but also foster defence diplomacy and regional security collaboration at a critical time.
As Indo Defence 2025 moves toward strategic outcomes, QTI remains committed to advancing India's defence footprint across the ASEAN region and beyond.
