Mr. Shiyas Pallipattuputhenpura Ummer, COO – Asia for QTI and Head of the Asian Roll Ball Federation (Indonesia), recently visited **PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI)**, the leading aerospace manufacturer in Indonesia. The visit marked an important step in fostering defense and strategic industrial collaboration between India and Indonesia.

During his visit, Mr. Shiyas engaged in productive discussions with PTDI’s leadership team regarding potential avenues for cooperation, particularly in areas involving defense technology, aviation infrastructure, and joint ventures with Indian Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs). The interaction emphasized mutual interests in leveraging PTDI’s capabilities in aircraft manufacturing and maintenance, alongside India’s growing technological expertise in defense production.

The visit also included a tour of PTDI’s production facilities in Bandung, where Mr. Shiyas observed firsthand the advanced manufacturing processes and the range of aircraft developed by the company, including the CN235 and N219. He praised PTDI’s role in regional aerospace development and reiterated the potential for bilateral growth through knowledge exchange and industrial partnerships.

This initiative aligns with Mr. Shiyas’s broader vision of strengthening economic and strategic ties between Indonesia and India across multiple sectors, including defense, infrastructure, and aerospace.
